Anglia in Bloom 2009       

We are thrilled that in 2009 St Ives was awarded a Silver-Gilt award in the Large Town category of the Anglia in Bloom competition. We are also delighted that Holt Island Nature Reserve received a Special Award certificate in the Best Conservation category.

The National Judges visited St Ives in July 2009 and were once again impressed by the level of community involvement in our entry. We were able to show the judges many community entries from the Rheola care home to Harvest Court, from Westfield Junior School to the Hill Rise Allotments - they were impressed with them all!

Many thanks to all those who took part in the St Ives in Bloom 2009 competition which is an integral part of our Anglia in Bloom entry. We look forward to seeing you again this year!
