We sent photographs to Anglia in Bloom this year, as the judges were again unable to visit.

Our work at the Park and Ride was in the “Sustainable Planting” category.

 

 

 

 

The next category was “Wildlife and Wildflowers” – we, of course, entered Holt Island.

 

 

 

Then we entered The Quay as “Best Public Place” – the benches and railings just needed touching up with paint.

 

 

 

 

 

The photo below of The Nelson’s Head was entered in the “Best Hanging Baskets” category 

and Kings Hedges (left) met the criteria for beautifully designed “Summer Planting”.

 

We entered the new bed on the corner of Elm Drive and Chestnut Road as our example of working together with residents with the commercial support of Waitrose, Bannolds and Envar Composting Ltd in the “It’s Your Neighbourhood” category

and our wildflower planting adds to the attraction and peace of Broad Leas closed cemetery in the “Churchyard” category.

 

 

Meanwhile, have you happened to walk past this garden in Derwent Close?  To the amazement and delight of passers-by, Colin Duncan nurtures a tropical garden here, which made it into our Anglia in Bloom entry under the category of a “special feature”.  Our congratulations go to him for such a spectacular success!!
