Every year a portfolio is produced for the Anglia in Bloom judges, where we nominate areas of the town for special awards.
These are our nominations for 2025:
- BEST COMMUNITY PROJECT – RAMSEY ROAD CEMETERY COMMUNITY GARDEN;
- BEST GARDENING FOR WILDLIFE OR BIODIVERSITY – STATION ROAD;
- BEST SUSTAINABLE GARDEN – PARK AND RIDE; winner of category 2025
- BEST FLORAL DISPLAY BY AN INDIVIDUAL – NORRIS MUSEUM GARDEN; winner of category 2025
- BEST GARDEN FOR INCLUSIVITY
- BEST WILDLIFE GARDENING – STATION ROAD VERGE;
- FLORAL DISPLAY by a Community – THE POST BOX GARDEN at the corner of The Waits and Ramsey Road;
- GROW YOUR OWN – THE COMMUNITY ALLOTMENT;
- COMMERCIAL AREA – TOWN CENTRE;
- YOUNG PEOPLE’S PROJECT (under 12) – WHEATFIELDS PRIMARY SCHOOL ECO-COUNCIL;
- YOUNG PEOPLE’S PROJECT (12 – 18 years) – RECYCLED GARDEN and PLANTERS outside the Norris Museum (with Norris Museum and students of Spring Common);
- LOCAL AUTHORITY DISPLAY – THE WAITS.
HOLT ISLAND was a separate entry this year in the NATURE RESERVE category, and was awarded a gold and best in the whole of the Anglia region!
